Big Bog State Recreation Area

All Minnesota State Parks camping and lodging reservations may now be made up to one year in advance, allowing travelers to make plans to stay at a park earlier than under the previous policy. Visitors may book next year’s camping vacation during or soon after this year’s trip, while their favorite places and campsite is fresh in their mind. Reservations may be made up until midnight the day before arrival.

Minnesota State Parks still have designated a number of campsites that are available on a first-come, first-serve basis for travelers who arrive without reservations.  However, Minnesota State Park campsites are very popular, so reservations are recommended when it’s possible to plan ahead.
