Hi Susan,

I would imagine that was quite a sight! Thank you for relaying this information. I have forwarded your sighting onto our contact with the Minnesota Ornithologists’ Union, and one of use will be in touch if further information is needed.

Thanks again!

On Saturday, May 3, two Great Horned Owls were spotted nesting on tree branches in the northeastern-most sector of the Caponi Art Park in Eagan. The large owls were at the end of a row of tall pine trees, just north of the hiking trail. To view these birds, park on the south side of Diffley Road and walk under the road through the tunnel and follow the trail at the far end of the property, beyond and to the right of the open space. Park is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9 a.m. to dusk.
